Global Citizens

As a language student at SMÂÛ̳, you will learn to identify and address global issues of interest to you, and take action in culturally-appropriate ways.

One way is through SMÂÛ̳’s Student-Faculty Collaborative Research Fund. With this competitive grant, students have conducted international projects with faculty collaborators, researching food insecurity in Bolivia, transitional justice in Chile, health care in Cuba, conflict resolution in Spain, language policy in Switzerland, and literary translation in Costa Rica. Our students are changing the world.
