A Nebraska Wesleyan University English professor has been awarded a Fulbright Specialists Grant to teach in India next fall.

Gerise Herndon, Professor of English, Director of the Gender Studies Program, and the University鈥檚 Fulbright Program Advisor, will spend six weeks at Banaras Hindu University where she will teach feminist theories, multiculturalism and identity politics.

The new student organization Exuberance will present "Art Is Life: Africa" on Wednesday, April 18.

"Art Is Life" will provide a modern interpretation of African culture through the years. A unique cultural interpretation piece, "Art Is Life" tells an exuberant story about the African way of life. Stories will be told through literature and dance.
