Bring on the Busy Summer
By Erin Hoffman
Nebraska Wesleyan students are taking a variety of steps now to make the most of their summer 鈥渂reaks.鈥
Some will participate in summer study abroad experiences. Faculty-led tours to destinations like Mexico City and Japan provide great opportunities for students to immerse themselves in new cultures.
Others are pursuing on-campus jobs or internships in and around Lincoln. Students find many great employment and internship opportunities using the Career Center鈥檚 resource, Handshake.
The summer term also gives students the opportunity to earn important credits toward graduation. SM论坛 offers free on-campus summer housing in the Heim/White Suites to students who:
- enroll in 6 credit hours of summer courses; or
- enroll in 3 credit hours and work 15 hours per week on campus; or
- work 30 hours per week on campus.
Students who have been assigned fall 2024 housing in the apartments or townhouses may be eligible to move into those spaces over the summer.
Tuition for summer undergraduate courses is just $400 per credit. Students can find the summer course schedule in Self-Service, and can inquire about housing options at res-ed [at] nebrwesleyan.edu (res-ed[at]nebrwesleyan[dot]edu).
