Communication Scholar to Discuss Inclusive Communities

A gender and communication scholar will discuss creating inclusive communities at Nebraska Wesleyan University鈥檚 annual Wesleyan Communication Association/Lambda Pi Eta Lecture.

Marnel Niles Goins, associate professor of communication at California State University -Fresno, will discuss 鈥淥n Being Black and Angry: Tales on What an Inclusive Community Can Look Like.鈥 The lecture will be held Wednesday, March 15 at 1 p.m. in Callen Conference Center.

Goins teaches organizational communication, small group communication and gender communication. She has authored several articles and book chapters  and contributed to the book, 鈥淪till Searching for Our Mothers鈥 Gardens: Experiences of New, Tenure-Track Women of Color at Majority Institutions.鈥

Her lecture is sponsored by the Wesleyan Communication Association and the Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honorary. The lecture is free and open to the public. Callen Conference Center is located on the lower level of the Smith-Curtis Administration Building.
